To get to know someone you have to talk to the person. Then you can find out more about him. E.g. his preferences, his attitude, what he hates, what things he likes and dislikes. It is best to get to know the person face to face. But sometimes that does not work. Then what can you do?
Through letters or emails, you can still build a close relationship.
But the best friend we can have is not human. It is God. His name is Jehovah. He is the most powerful in the universe and superior to all humans.
How do you think you can get to know him and make him a friend?
By reading the Bible. Jehovah God has had everything written down in the Bible through his scribes: His will, things he loves, things he hates, and what you have to do to have him as a friend. And much more. For example, what will happen to our world.
God's Word can only make a difference in us if we read it regularly, daily if possible."read in it day and night in a low voice, so that you may scrupulously observe all that it says."
Then a prosperous way lies before you, and then you will act wisely."(Joshua 1:8)
